When asked to come up with locations for our engagement shoots, we tried to think of places that are meaningful to either/both of us. Wonderland was one of our top choices especially since I have spent a whole entire summer working at Wonderland as a Payroll Clerk back in 2000. And during that time, I was pretty certain I knew every corner of the park.
Before we arrived at Wonderland for our 2-hour photo shoot, Ben has spent approximately 5-6 hours with us planning our outfits, my hair, my makeup, etc. for this special shoot -

We were escorted around the park by our PR friend Alison who kindly stopped the traffic for us when we were shooting outside of some of the shops in the “Hanna-Barbera Land”.
We felt like VIPs when Alison let us cut in line to get onto one of the few special white swans in the Swan Lake. We enjoyed the breezy lazy ride swimming around the Lake while Ben, our photgrapher, ran around the Lake, sweating to catch a good shot of us in the swan …
To capture at the best possible angles, Allison allowed us to shoot and pose beyond some of the ”Do Not Enter” points, like in this photo below, we shot behind the huge beautiful flower bed in front of the Wonderland landmark (the volcanoes) at the front gate. When Simon bended his knees to give me the flowers in this shot, we heard people clapping, singing us wedding songs, complimenting on my beautiful dress and saying/shouting congratulations to us from afar.
I felt like I was dreaming… I became a princess…
Alison let us back into the park to play for the rest of the day after our 2-hour shoot. I tried the new Behemoth ride with my cousin while I kept on dreaming, and dreaming…
