Chapel Search (1)

We started our search for chapel early in February, but didn’t have one booked until much later for various reasons.  First of all, for those of you who know us, we are quite selective, or sometimes are said to be quite ”picky”, especially when we come to things like making life-changing and memorable choices (e.g. selecting our partners or selecting a chapel for our dream wedding).  The following is a list of runners-up that we have seriously considered and even toured around!

The first runner-up is Knox College Chapel.  The architecture is amazing.  Its Hellmuth Wolff organ is world-famous:

Their wedding package includes the assistance of a wedding planner who will be present at the wedding rehersal and will assist in planning the decorations for the ceremony, setting up, and wrapping up the ceremony.  Daniela, the manager there, is friendly and understanding.

The second runner-up is Trinity College Chapel.  The Trinity Chapel is simply gorgeous! It is huge and I believe it can hold thousands of visitors.   When we were there, the security guard, who has the key to the chapel, was very friendly and led us to the chapel promptly.

At last but not least, the third runner-up goes to the Wycliffe College Chapel.  Wycliffe College has a small chapel that holds around 100 visitors.  It is quite warm and cozy and is built in British Medieval period style.  It only welcomes couples who have some form of association to the College, and since Simon’s brother graduated from Wycliffe, we are considered to have an acceptable connection there.
